Liner Assembly

liner assembly

1

Add Self-Adhesive

First, add your self-adhesive (double sided ATG tape preferred) to the back of your liner placing the adhesive along the top section only and right along the top edge.

2

Position Liner

Insert the liner bottom into the envelope then position liner top right where you want it to be.

Note that our liners are shorter than the full length of the envelope in order to allow for easier positioning.

Once aligned, attach your liner adhesive down.

3

Crease

Finally, using a ruler or cut piece of paper place right where the envelope creases.

Fold the entire flap down to create a clean crease in the liner.

Then fold down the envelope and flatten crease with a bone filer.

Adding Self-Adhesive

Self Adhesive

1

Purchase the Right  Self-Adhesive

It is important to use specific types of self-adhesive on your envelopes otherwise they will warp or damage your papers.

Below are our recommended adhesives and where to purchase them:

(Best) ATG tape (can be used with or with a ATG tape dispenser). Buy on Amazon or Uline

Double-sided adhesive tape for scrapbooking. Buy on Amazon

Elmers Extra Strength Glue Stick Permanent. Buy on Amazon

AdTech Adhesive Tape. Buy on Amazon

2

Placement

Once you have your adhesive, line the bottom side of the flap (closure side) with adhesive just along the edge of the envelope.

For double-sided tape with a backing, just cut 3-4" strips and remove the backing when you go to close your envelopes.

Important Notes on Mailing Your Envelopes

Before you mail your envelopes, be sure to take one to the post office to weigh so that you know how much postage you will need to buy. Typically A7 envelopes with a single card will take a forever stamp however, multiple cards may take more stamps.

Mailing Rigid or Wax Seals

If mailing your envelopes with an outer wax seal, be sure to get NON-MACHINABLE stamps or ask the post office to HAND STAMP your envelopes to prevent them from getting run through their machines potentially damaging your wax seals.

Non-machinable or hand stamped postage will be higher than regular postage so that is why it is important to check before you purchase your stamps.
