modest paper

I’m Mary Ann, an artist and paper lover based in Southern California.

I’ve spent more than a decade creating paper goods, developing a deep appreciation for beautiful paper, thoughtful details, and the simple pleasure of putting something special in the mail.

Mary Ann Hoffman Co. is a return to something that has always been at the heart of my work: watercolor. I paint the things that catch my eye, from flowers and landscapes to everyday objects and places with a story, and turn those paintings into art prints, correspondence, and paper goods.

I’m drawn to things that feel personal, useful, and a little bit beautiful. A handwritten note, a painted envelope, a place card at a dinner table, or a small watercolor that reminds you of somewhere you love.

Thank you for being here and for making room for a little more art in your everyday life.
